NOW YOU KNOW HOW TO DESCRIBE CHARACTERS!

Until now he have seen the use of the determiners A & AN, how to describe feelings and physical appearance in present, and in past as the case of stories.
So, it's time to make a simple description of a character (in present or past) using all what we have seen.

Here you have an example of description in present. My characters will be Phineas and Ferb:

"They are Phineas and Ferb. They are brothers.
Phineas is short and thin. He is red-haired, short-haired and brown-eyed.
Ferb is tall and thin. He is green-haired, short-haired and brown-eyed too.
Phineas  is happy because he is surfing, but Ferb is nervous".

Now it's your turn! Describe the character or characters you want!

DESCRIBING PHYSICAL APPEARANCE

Let´s continue with the characters from the film "Monster House", but this time  to learn some vocabulary about physical appearance and to learn how to describe the physical appearance of someone.
The following worksheet will be useful to learn some adjectives. So, first take a look at the characters and then try to solve the puzzle with help of the clues and the adjectives that are in the box.

For describing the physical appearance of a character, we need to follow the same structure that we used to describe feelings, but changing the feeling for an adjective: SUBJECT + TO BE Verb + ADJECTIVE
E.G. Jenny is red-haired / DJ is brown-eyed / Mr. Nebbercracker and DJ are thin

DESCRIBING FEELINGS

For describing characters' feelings we need to use the verb "to be". Take a look at the following picture. you can see the subjects and the right verb "to be " in present for each one.
The following examples are not describing feelings, this is just to give you an idea of the use of the verb "to be"

In the following worksheet you will find six different feelings. Find them in the puzzle, then match each feeling to the correct character or characters from the film "Moster House". Finally write a sentence for each picture that describe what the character(s) is (are) feeling.
TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT: to describe characters, use this structure: SUBJECT + TO BE Verb + FEELING
E.G. I am happy / They are angry
